⁵ and say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord God, “On the day when I ^(A)chose Israel and ^[a]swore to the ^[b]descendants of the house of Jacob and made Myself known to them in the land of Egypt, when I ^[c]swore to them, saying, ^(B)I am the Lord your God, ⁶ on that day I swore to them, ^(C)to bring them out from the land of Egypt into a land that I had ^[d]selected for them, ^(D)flowing with milk and honey, which is ^(E)the glory of all lands.

⁴ Because I will cut off from you the righteous and the wicked, therefore My sword will go forth from its sheath against ^(A)all flesh from south to north. ⁵ Thus all flesh will know that I, the Lord, have drawn My sword out of its sheath. It will ^(B)not return to its sheath again.”’
