Ezekiel 19:5-7

5 Now when she saw that she had waited, and her hope was lost, she took another of her [a]whelps, and made him a lion.
6 Which went among the lions, and became a lion, and learned to catch the prey, and he devoured [b]men.
7 And he knew their widows, and he destroyed their cities, and the land was wasted, and all that was therein by the noise of his roaring.

New International Version
5 “‘When she saw her hope unfulfilled,
her expectation gone,
she took another of her cubs(A)
and made him a strong lion.(B)
6 He prowled among the lions,
for he was now a strong lion.
He learned to tear the prey
and he became a man-eater.(C)
7 He broke down[a] their strongholds
and devastated(D) their towns.
The land and all who were in it
were terrified by his roaring.
