³⁰ “Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, each according to his way,” declares Lord Yahweh. “^[a](A)Turn back and turn away from all your transgressions, so that iniquity may not become a stumbling block to you. ^31 (B)Cast away from yourselves all your transgressions which you have committed and ^[b]make yourselves a ^(C)new heart and a new spirit! Now why will you die, O house of Israel?

³⁸ And Peter said to them, “^(A)Repent, and each of you be ^(B)baptized in the name of Jesus Christ ^[a]for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. ³⁹ For ^(C)the promise is for you and your children and for all who are ^(D)far off, as many as the Lord our God will call to Himself.”
