²⁹ But the house of Israel says, ‘The way of the Lord is not right.’ Are My ways not right, O house of Israel? Is it not your ways that are not right?

¹⁷ “Yet the sons of your people say, ‘The way of the Lord is not right,’ when it is their own way that is not right.

²⁰ Yet you say, ‘^(A)The way of the Lord is not right.’ O house of Israel, I will judge each of you according to his ways.”

¹⁷ You have ^(A)wearied Yahweh with your words. But you say, “How have we wearied Him?” In that you say, “^(B)Everyone who does evil is good in the sight of Yahweh, and He ^(C)delights in them,” or, “^(D)Where is the God of ^(E)justice?”

Arrogant Words

¹³ “Your words have been strong against Me,” says Yahweh. “But you say, ‘What have we spoken against You?’ ¹⁴ You have said, ‘It is ^(A)worthless to serve God; and what ^(B)gain is it that we have kept His charge and that we have walked in mourning before Yahweh of hosts? ¹⁵ So now we ^(C)call the arrogant blessed; not only are the doers of wickedness built up, but they also test God and ^(D)escape.’”
