⁸ “‘Then I passed by you and saw you, and you were indeed at the age for love. So I spread the edge of my garment over you and covered your nakedness.^(A) I pledged myself to you,^(B) entered into a covenant with you—this is the declaration of the Lord God—and you became mine.^(C)

⁶⁰ But I will remember the covenant I made with you in the days of your youth, and I will establish a permanent covenant with you.^(A)

⁴ But I have this against you: You have abandoned the love you had at first.^(A)
