14 Your fame[a] spread throughout the nations because of your beauty. You were perfectly beautiful due to my splendor with which I endowed you,” declares the Lord God.

15 “But you trusted in your beauty. You did what whores do, as a result of your fame. You passed out your sexual favors[b] to anyone who passed by, giving yourself to anyone. 16 You took some of your clothes and made gaily-colored high places and prostituted yourself all around them—something which had never happened before nor will ever happen again.

14 And your fame(A) spread among the nations on account of your beauty,(B) because the splendor I had given you made your beauty perfect, declares the Sovereign Lord.(C)
15 “‘But you trusted in your beauty and used your fame to become a prostitute. You lavished your favors on anyone who passed by(D) and your beauty became his.(E) 16 You took some of your garments to make gaudy high places,(F) where you carried on your prostitution.(G) You went to him, and he possessed your beauty.[a]
