⁵ And within it there were figures resembling ^(A)four living beings. And this was their appearance: they had human ^(B)form.

⁸ And the ^(A)four living creatures, each one of them having ^(B)six wings, are ^(C)full of eyes around and within; and ^(D)day and night ^[a]they do not cease to say,

⁹ And when the living creatures give glory, honor, and thanks to Him who ^(H)sits on the throne, to ^(I)Him who lives forever and ever, ¹⁰ the ^(J)twenty-four elders will ^(K)fall down before Him who ^(L)sits on the throne, and they will worship ^(M)Him who lives forever and ever, and will cast their ^(N)crowns before the throne, saying,

⁶ And I saw ^[a]between the throne (with the four living creatures) and ^(A)the elders a ^(B)Lamb standing, as if ^(C)slaughtered, having seven ^(D)horns and ^(E)seven eyes, which are ^[b](F)the seven spirits of God sent out into all the earth.

The First Seal: Conqueror on a White Horse

6 Then I saw when the ^(A)Lamb broke one of the ^(B)seven seals, and I heard one of the ^(C)four living creatures saying as with a ^(D)voice of thunder, “Come^[a]!”

⁶ And I heard something like a voice in the center of the ^(A)four living creatures saying, “A ^[a]quart of wheat for a ^[b]denarius, and three ^[c]quarts of barley for a ^[d]denarius; and ^(B)do not damage the oil and the wine.”
