¹² Then He said to me, “Son of man, have you seen what the elders of the house of Israel do in the dark, every man in the room of his idols? For they say, ^(A)‘The Lord does not see us, the Lord has forsaken the land.’ ”

⁹ Then He said to me, “The iniquity of the house of Israel and Judah is exceedingly great, and ^(A)the land is full of bloodshed, and the city full of perversity; for they say, ^(B)‘The Lord has forsaken the land, and ^(C)the Lord does not see!’

¹⁵ Then He said to me, “Have you seen this, O son of man? Turn again, you will see greater abominations than these.”

^12 (A)For it is shameful even to speak of those things which are done by them in secret.

¹⁹ And this is the condemnation, ^(A)that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. ²⁰ For ^(B)everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed.

The Rebellions of Israel

20 It came to pass in the seventh year, in the fifth month, on the tenth day of the month, that ^(A)certain of the elders of Israel came to inquire of the Lord, and sat before me.

Idolatry Will Be Punished

14 Now ^(A)some of the elders of Israel came to me and sat before me.

¹⁷ And He said to me, “Have you seen this, O son of man? Is it a trivial thing to the house of Judah to commit the abominations which they commit here? For they have ^(A)filled the land with violence; then they have returned to provoke Me to anger. Indeed they put the branch to their nose.
