^28 (A)Therefore say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “None of My words will be postponed any more, but the word which I speak ^(B)will be done,” says the Lord God.’ ”

²³ Tell them therefore, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “I will lay this proverb to rest, and they shall no more use it as a proverb in Israel.” ’ But say to them, ‘ ^(A)“The days are at hand, and the ^[a]fulfillment of every vision. ²⁴ For ^(B)no more shall there be any ^(C)false^[b] vision or flattering divination within the house of Israel. ²⁵ For I am the Lord. I speak, and ^(D)the word which I speak will come to pass; it will no more be postponed; for in your days, O rebellious house, I will say the word and ^(E)perform it,” says the Lord God.’ ”

¹⁵ When the morning dawned, the angels urged Lot to hurry, saying, ^(A)“Arise, take your wife and your two daughters who are here, lest you be consumed in the punishment of the city.”

¹⁷ For the time has come ^(A)for judgment to begin at the house of God; and if it begins with us first, ^(B)what will be the end of those who do not obey the gospel of God?
