¹⁵ O Lord God of Israel, ^(A)You are righteous, for we are left as a remnant, as it is this day. ^(B)Here we are before You, ^(C)in our guilt, though no one can stand before You because of this!”

Mourning for the Pierced One

^10 (A)“And I will pour on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem the Spirit of grace and supplication; then they will ^(B)look on Me whom they pierced. Yes, they will mourn for Him ^(C)as one mourns for his only son, and grieve for Him as one grieves for a firstborn. ¹¹ In that day there shall be a great ^(D)mourning in Jerusalem, ^(E)like the mourning at Hadad Rimmon in the plain of ^[a]Megiddo. ^12 (F)And the land shall mourn, every family by itself: the family of the house of David by itself, and their wives by themselves; the family of the house of ^(G)Nathan by itself, and their wives by themselves; ¹³ the family of the house of Levi by itself, and their wives by themselves; the family of Shimei by itself, and their wives by themselves; ¹⁴ all the families that remain, every family by itself, and their wives by themselves.

³¹ Then ^(A)you will remember your evil ways and your deeds that were not good; and you ^(B)will ^[a]loathe yourselves in your own sight, for your iniquities and your abominations.

^8 (A)“Yet I will leave a remnant, so that you may have some who escape the sword among the nations, when you are ^(B)scattered through the countries. ⁹ Then those of you who escape will ^(C)remember Me among the nations where they are carried captive, because ^(D)I was crushed by their adulterous heart which has departed from Me, and ^(E)by their eyes which play the harlot after their idols; ^(F)they will loathe themselves for the evils which they committed in all their abominations.
