^3 (A)And you shall take from these a small number and bind them in the skirts of your robe.

¹⁶ But Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard left some of the poorest of the land to be vinedressers and plowmen.

⁶ Then Jeremiah went to ^(A)Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, at ^(B)Mizpah, and lived with him ^(C)among the people ^(D)who were left in the land.

¹⁰ Nebuzaradan, the captain of the guard, ^(A)left in the land of Judah some of the poor people who owned nothing, and gave them vineyards and fields at the same time.

¹⁸ And

²³ And someone said to him, “Lord, ^(A)will those who are saved be few?” And he said to them, ^24 (B)“Strive ^(C)to enter through the narrow door. For many, I tell you, will seek to enter and will not be able.

¹⁴ For the gate is narrow and ^(A)the way is hard that leads to life, and ^(B)those who find it are few.
