God’s Razor of Judgment

5 “Now, son of man, take a sharp sword and use it as a barber’s razor^(A) to shave^(B) your head and your beard.^(C) Then take a set of scales and divide up the hair.

²⁰ “‘They must not shave^(A) their heads or let their hair grow long, but they are to keep the hair of their heads trimmed.^(B)

²⁰ In that day^(A) the Lord will use^(B) a razor hired from beyond the Euphrates River^(C)—the king of Assyria^(D)—to shave your head and private parts, and to cut off your beard^(E) also.^(F)

⁵ “‘Priests must not shave^(A) their heads or shave off the edges of their beards^(B) or cut their bodies.^(C)
