Division of the Land

48 “Now these are the names of the tribes: ^(A)From the northern border along the road to Hethlon at the entrance of Hamath, to Hazar Enan, the border of Damascus northward, in the direction of Hamath, there shall be one section for ^(B)Dan from its east to its west side;

⁸ Also from ^[a]Betah and from ^(A)Berothai,^[b] cities of Hadadezer, King David took a large amount of bronze.

²¹ So they went up and spied out the land ^(A)from the Wilderness of Zin as far as ^(B)Rehob, near the entrance of ^(C)Hamath.

¹⁵ He divided his forces against them by night, and he and his servants ^(A)attacked them and pursued them as far as Hobah, which is ^[a]north of Damascus.

² and asked ^(A)letters from him to the synagogues of Damascus, so that if he found any who were of the Way, whether men or women, he might bring them bound to Jerusalem.

¹⁷ Thus the boundary shall be from the Sea to ^(A)Hazar Enan, the border of Damascus; and as for the north, northward, it is the border of Hamath. This is the north side.
