How the Offerings Were Prepared

¹⁹ Now he brought me through the entrance, which was at the side of the gate, into the holy ^(A)chambers of the priests which face toward the north; and there a place was situated at their extreme western end.

⁹ At the lower chambers was the entrance on the east side, as one goes into them from the outer court.

Those Admitted to the Temple

⁴ Also He brought me by way of the north gate to the front of the ^[a]temple; so I looked, and ^(A)behold, the glory of the Lord filled the house of the Lord; ^(B)and I fell on my face. ⁵ And the Lord said to me, ^(C)“Son of man, ^[b]mark well, see with your eyes and hear with your ears, all that I say to you concerning all the ^(D)ordinances of the house of the Lord and all its laws. Mark well who may enter the house and all who go out from the sanctuary.

Chambers for Singers and Priests

⁴⁴ Outside the inner gate were the chambers for ^(A)the singers in the inner court, one facing south at the side of the northern gateway, and the other facing north at the side of the ^[a]southern gateway. ⁴⁵ Then he said to me, “This chamber which faces south is for ^(B)the priests who have charge of the temple. ⁴⁶ The chamber which faces north is for the priests ^(C)who have charge of the altar; these are the sons of ^(D)Zadok, from the sons of Levi, who come near the Lord to minister to Him.”
