Boiling Places for Offerings

¹⁹ Then he brought me through the entrance, which was ^(A)at the side of the gate, to the north row of ^(B)the holy chambers for the priests, and behold, a place was there at the extreme western end of them.

⁹ Below these chambers was ^(A)an entrance on the east side, as one enters them from the outer court.

⁴ Then he brought me by way of ^(A)the north gate to the front of the temple, and I looked, and behold, ^(B)the glory of the Lord filled the temple of the Lord. And ^(C)I fell on my face. ⁵ And the Lord said to me, ^(D)“Son of man, mark well, ^(E)see with your eyes, ^(F)and hear with your ears all that I shall tell you concerning ^(G)all the statutes of the temple of the Lord and all its laws. And mark well ^(H)the entrance to the temple and all the exits from the sanctuary.

Chambers for the Priests

⁴⁴ On the outside of the inner gateway there were two ^(A)chambers^[a] in the ^(B)inner court, one^[b] at the side of the north gate facing south, the other at the side of the south^[c] gate facing north. ⁴⁵ And he said to me, “This chamber that faces south is for the priests ^(C)who have charge of the temple, ⁴⁶ and the chamber that faces north is for the priests ^(D)who have charge of the altar. These are ^(E)the sons of Zadok, who alone^[d] among the sons of Levi may come ^(F)near to the Lord to minister to him.”
