¹⁸ Moreover ^(A)the prince shall not take any of the people’s inheritance by evicting them from their property; he shall provide an inheritance for his sons from his own property, so that none of My people may be scattered from his property.” ’ ”

⁸ The land shall be his possession in Israel; and ^(A)My princes shall no more oppress My people, but they shall give the rest of the land to the house of Israel, according to their tribes.”

²⁷ Her ^(A)princes in her midst are like wolves tearing the prey, to shed blood, to destroy ^[a]people, and to get dishonest gain.

¹⁹ You shall speak to him, saying, ‘Thus says the Lord: “Have you murdered and also taken possession?” ’ And you shall speak to him, saying, ‘Thus says the Lord: ^(A)“In the place where dogs licked the blood of Naboth, dogs shall lick your blood, even yours.” ’ ”

⁸ Therefore He says:

1 The word of the Lord that came to ^(A)Micah of Moresheth in the days of ^(B)Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah, which he saw concerning Samaria and Jerusalem.

The Coming Judgment on Israel

²¹ Because you have pushed with side and shoulder, butted all the weak ones with your horns, and scattered them abroad,

^3 (A)You eat the fat and clothe yourselves with the wool; you ^(B)slaughter the fatlings, but you do not feed the flock. ^4 (C)The weak you have not strengthened, nor have you healed those who were sick, nor bound up the broken, nor brought back what was driven away, nor ^(D)sought what was lost; but with ^(E)force and ^[a]cruelty you have ruled them. ^5 (F)So they were ^(G)scattered because there was no shepherd; ^(H)and they became food for all the beasts of the field when they were scattered. ⁶ My sheep ^(I)wandered through all the mountains, and on every high hill; yes, My flock was scattered over the whole face of the earth, and no one was seeking or searching for them.”
