¹³ “You shall provide a lamb, a yearling, without blemish, for a burnt offering to the Lord daily; morning by morning you shall provide it.^(A)

The Servant’s Humiliation and Vindication

⁸ and all the inhabitants of the earth will worship it, everyone whose name has not been written from the foundation of the world in the book of life of the Lamb that was slaughtered.^[a](A)

¹⁹ but with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without defect or blemish.^{(A) 20} He was destined before the foundation of the world but was revealed at the end of the ages for your sake.^(B)

The Lamb of God

²⁹ The next day he saw Jesus coming toward him and declared, “Here is the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!^(A)

¹¹ Even against the prince of the host it acted arrogantly; it took the regular burnt offering away from him and overthrew the place of his sanctuary.^{(A) 12} Because of wickedness, the host was given over to it together with the regular burnt offering;^[a] it cast truth to the ground and kept prospering in what it did. ¹³ Then I heard a holy one speaking, and another holy one said to the one who spoke, “For how long is this vision concerning the regular burnt offering, the transgression that makes desolate, and the giving over of the sanctuary and host to be trampled?”^[b](B)

¹⁰ this is the burnt offering for every Sabbath, in addition to the regular burnt offering and its drink offering.^(A)

³ And you shall say to them: This is the offering by fire^[a] that you shall offer to the Lord: two male lambs a year old without blemish, daily, as a regular offering.^{(A) 4} One lamb you shall offer in the morning, and the other lamb you shall offer at twilight;^{[b] 5} also one-tenth of an ephah of choice flour for a grain offering, mixed with one-fourth of a hin of beaten oil. ⁶ It is a regular burnt offering, ordained at Mount Sinai for a pleasing odor, an offering by fire^[c] to the Lord. ⁷ Its drink offering shall be one-fourth of a hin for each lamb; in the sanctuary you shall pour out a drink offering of strong drink to the Lord.^{(B) 8} The other lamb you shall offer at twilight^[d] with a grain offering and a drink offering like the one in the morning; you shall offer it as an offering by fire,^[e] a pleasing odor to the Lord.
