⁸ And you have not ^(A)kept charge of My holy things, but you have set others to keep charge of My sanctuary for you.”

Preach the Word

4 I ^(A)charge you ^[a]therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, ^(B)who will judge the living and the dead ^[b]at His appearing and His kingdom:

¹³ I urge you in the sight of God who gives life to all things, and before Christ Jesus ^(A)who witnessed the good confession before Pontius Pilate,

^53 (A)who have received the law by the direction of angels and have not kept it.”

¹⁶ “They shall ^(A)enter My sanctuary, and they shall come near ^(B)My table to minister to Me, and they shall keep My charge.

¹⁴ Nevertheless I will make them ^(A)keep charge of the temple, for all its work, and for all that has to be done in it.

⁴⁵ Then he said to me, “This chamber which faces south is for ^(A)the priests who have charge of the temple. ⁴⁶ The chamber which faces north is for the priests ^(B)who have charge of the altar; these are the sons of ^(C)Zadok, from the sons of Levi, who come near the Lord to minister to Him.”

Gifts for the Temple

²⁴ And I separated twelve of the leaders of the priests—Sherebiah, Hashabiah, and ten of their brethren with them— ²⁵ and weighed out to them ^(A)the silver, the gold, and the articles, the offering for the house of our God which the king and his counselors and his princes, and all Israel who were present, had offered. ²⁶ I weighed into their hand six hundred and fifty talents of silver, silver articles weighing one hundred talents, one hundred talents of gold, ²⁷ twenty gold basins worth a thousand drachmas, and two vessels of fine polished bronze, precious as gold. ²⁸ And I said to them, “You are ^(B)holy^[a] to the Lord; the articles are ^(C)holy also; and the silver and the gold are a freewill offering to the Lord God of your fathers. ²⁹ Watch and keep them until you weigh them before the leaders of the priests and the Levites and ^(D)heads of the fathers’ houses of Israel in Jerusalem, in the chambers of the house of the Lord.” ³⁰ So the priests and the Levites received the silver and the gold and the articles by weight, to bring them to Jerusalem to the house of our God.

³² and that they should ^(A)attend to the ^(B)needs of the tabernacle of meeting, the needs of the holy place, and the ^(C)needs of the sons of Aaron their brethren in the work of the house of the Lord.
