Those Admitted to the Temple

⁴ Also He brought me by way of the north gate to the front of the ^[a]temple; so I looked, and ^(A)behold, the glory of the Lord filled the house of the Lord; ^(B)and I fell on my face.

^28 (A)Like the appearance of a rainbow in a cloud on a rainy day, so was the appearance of the brightness all around it. ^(B)This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the Lord.

Ezekiel Sent to Rebellious Israel

So when I saw it, ^(C)I fell on my face, and I heard a voice of One speaking.

¹⁷ And ^(A)when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead. But ^(B)He laid His right hand on me, saying ^[a]to me, “Do not be afraid; ^(C)I am the First and the Last.

²³ So I arose and went out into the plain, and behold, ^(A)the glory of the Lord stood there, like the glory which I ^(B)saw by the River Chebar; ^(C)and I fell on my face.

³ It was ^(A)like the appearance of the vision which I saw—like the vision which I saw when ^[a]I came ^(B)to destroy the city. The visions were like the vision which I saw ^(C)by the River Chebar; and I fell on my face. ^4 (D)And the glory of the Lord came into the ^[b]temple by way of the gate which faces toward the east. ^5 (E)The Spirit lifted me up and brought me into the inner court; and behold, ^(F)the glory of the Lord filled the ^[c]temple.

The Northern Gateway

²⁰ On the outer court was also a gateway facing north, and he measured its length and its width.

⁷ and I will shake all nations, and they shall come to ^(A)the ^[a]Desire of All Nations, and I will fill this ^[b]temple with ^(B)glory,’ says the Lord of hosts.

⁴⁰ At the outer side of the vestibule, as one goes up to the entrance of the northern gateway, were two tables; and on the other side of the vestibule of the gateway were two tables.

³ And one cried to another and said:

⁴ And the posts of the door were shaken by the voice of him who cried out, and the house was filled with smoke.
