⁴ Then he brought me by way of ^(A)the north gate to the front of the temple, and I looked, and behold, ^(B)the glory of the Lord filled the temple of the Lord. And ^(C)I fell on my face.

²⁸ Like the appearance of ^(A)the bow that is in the cloud on the day of rain, so was the appearance of the brightness all around.

Such was the appearance of the likeness of ^(B)the glory of the Lord. And when I saw it, ^(C)I fell on my face, and I heard the voice of one speaking.

^17 (A)When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. But ^(B)he laid his right hand on me, ^(C)saying, “Fear not, ^(D)I am the first and the last,

²³ So I arose and went out into the valley, and behold, ^(A)the glory of the Lord stood there, like the glory that I had seen ^(B)by the Chebar canal, ^(C)and I fell on my face.

³ And ^(A)the vision I saw was just like the vision that I had seen ^(B)when he^[a] came to destroy the city, and just like ^(C)the vision that I had seen ^(D)by the Chebar canal. And ^(E)I fell on my face. ⁴ As ^(F)the glory of the Lord ^(G)entered the temple by the gate facing east, ^5 (H)the Spirit lifted me up and brought me into ^(I)the inner court; and behold, ^(J)the glory of the Lord filled the temple.

The North Gate

²⁰ As for ^(A)the gate that faced toward the north, belonging to ^(B)the outer court, he measured its length and its breadth.

⁷ And I will shake all nations, so that the treasures of all nations shall come in, and ^(A)I will fill this house with glory, says the Lord of hosts.

⁴⁰ And off to the side, on the outside as one goes up to the entrance of the north gate, were two tables; and off to the other side of the vestibule of the gate were two tables.

³ And one called to another and said:

⁴ And ^(C)the foundations of the thresholds shook at the voice of him who called, and ^(D)the house was filled with smoke.
