Laws Governing Priests

^10 (A)“And the Levites who went far from Me, when Israel went astray, who strayed away from Me after their idols, they shall bear their iniquity.

^11 (A)It shall be for the priests of the sons of Zadok, who are sanctified, who have kept My charge, who did not go astray when the children of Israel went astray, ^(B)as the Levites went astray.

^26 (A)Her priests have ^[a]violated My law and ^(B)profaned My holy things; they have not ^(C)distinguished between the holy and unholy, nor have they made known the difference between the unclean and the clean; and they have hidden their eyes from My Sabbaths, so that I am profaned among them.

²² Do not lay hands on anyone hastily, nor ^(A)share in other people’s sins; keep yourself pure.

^15 (A)“But the priests, the Levites, ^(B)the sons of Zadok, who kept charge of My sanctuary ^(C)when the children of Israel went astray from Me, they shall come near Me to minister to Me; and they ^(D)shall stand before Me to offer to Me the ^(E)fat and the blood,” says the Lord God.

⁸ And he brought all the priests from the cities of Judah, and defiled the high places where the priests had burned incense, from ^(A)Geba to Beersheba; also he broke down the high places at the gates which were at the entrance of the Gate of Joshua the governor of the city, which were to the left of the city gate. ^9 (B)Nevertheless the priests of the high places did not come up to the altar of the Lord in Jerusalem, ^(C)but they ate unleavened bread among their brethren.
