²⁶ Do this each day for seven days to cleanse and make atonement for the altar, thus setting it apart for holy use.

³⁴ Everything we have done today was commanded by the Lord in order to purify you, making you right with him.^[a]

²⁹ Then Moses told the Levites, “Today you have ordained yourselves^[a] for the service of the Lord, for you obeyed him even though it meant killing your own sons and brothers. Today you have earned a blessing.”

²⁴ Put all these in the hands of Aaron and his sons to be lifted up as a special offering to the Lord.
