² And there the glory of the God of Israel was coming from the east; the sound was like the sound of mighty waters, and the earth shone with his glory.^(A)

The Fall of Babylon

18 After this I saw another angel coming down from heaven, having great authority, and the earth was illumined by his splendor.^(A)

²³ And the glory of the Lord ascended from the middle of the city and stopped on the mountain east of the city.^(A)

³ And one called to another and said,

¹⁸ Then the glory of the Lord went out from the entryway of the temple and stopped above the cherubim. ¹⁹ The cherubim lifted up their wings and rose up from the earth in my sight as they went out with the wheels beside them. They stopped at the entrance of the east gate of the house of the Lord, and the glory of the God of Israel was above them.^(A)

⁴ Then the glory of the Lord rose up from the cherub to the entryway of the temple; the house was filled with the cloud, and the court was full of the brightness of the glory of the Lord.^(A)

¹⁵ his feet were like burnished bronze, refined as in a furnace, and his voice was like the sound of many waters.^(A)

²³ So I rose up and went out into the valley, and the glory of the Lord stood there, like the glory that I had seen by the River Chebar, and I fell on my face.^(A)

²⁸ Like the bow in a cloud on a rainy day, such was the appearance of the splendor all around. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the Lord.

When I saw it, I fell on my face, and I heard the voice of someone speaking.^(A)

²⁴ When they moved, I heard the sound of their wings like the sound of mighty waters, like the thunder of the Almighty,^[a] a sound of tumult like the sound of an army; when they stopped, they let down their wings.^(A)
