The East Gate to the Outer Court

⁵ And behold, there was ^(A)a wall all around the outside of the temple area, and the length of the measuring reed in the man's hand was six long cubits, ^(B)each being a cubit and a handbreadth^[a] in length. So he measured the thickness of the wall, one reed; and the height, one reed.

¹⁶ The city lies foursquare, its length the same as its width. And he measured the city with his rod, 12,000 stadia.^[a] Its length and width and height are equal.
