Chambers for the Priests

⁴⁴ On the outside of the inner gateway there were two ^(A)chambers^[a] in the ^(B)inner court, one^[b] at the side of the north gate facing south, the other at the side of the south^[c] gate facing north.

³¹ These are the men ^(A)whom David put in charge of the service of song in the house of the Lord ^(B)after the ark rested there. ³² They ministered with song before the tabernacle of the tent of meeting until Solomon built the house of the Lord in Jerusalem, and they performed their service according to their order.

²⁷ And there was a gate on the south of ^(A)the inner court. And he measured from gate to gate toward the south, a hundred cubits.

²³ And opposite the gate on the north, as on the east, was a gate to ^(A)the inner court. And ^(B)he measured from gate to gate, a hundred cubits.

⁴¹ With them were ^(A)Heman and Jeduthun ^(B)and the rest of those chosen and ^(C)expressly named to give thanks to the Lord, ^(D)for his steadfast love endures forever. ⁴² Heman and Jeduthun had trumpets and cymbals for the music and instruments ^(E)for sacred song. The sons of Jeduthun were appointed to the gate.

^43 (F)Then all the people departed each to his house, and David went home to bless his household.

¹⁶ Let ^(A)the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, ^(B)singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, ^(C)with thankfulness in your hearts to God.

³⁸ There was ^(A)a chamber with its door in the vestibule of the gate,^{[a] (B)}where the burnt offering was to be washed.

²⁹ Its ^(A)side rooms, its jambs, and its vestibule were of the same size as the others, and both it and its vestibule ^(B)had windows all around. ^(C)Its length was fifty cubits, and its breadth twenty-five cubits.
