⁴ “Lie also on your left side, and lay the iniquity of the house of Israel upon it. According to the number of the days that you lie on it, you shall bear their iniquity.

²² The goat ^[a]shall ^(A)bear on itself all their iniquities to an ^[b]uninhabited land; and he shall ^(B)release the goat in the wilderness.

^8 (A)And surely I will ^[a]restrain you so that you cannot turn from one side to another till you have ended the days of your siege.

Duties of Priests and Levites

18 Then the Lord said to Aaron: ^(A)“You and your sons and your father’s house with you shall ^(B)bear the ^[a]iniquity related to the sanctuary, and you and your sons with you shall bear the iniquity associated with your priesthood.

^17 (A)“Why have you not eaten the sin offering in a holy place, since it is most holy, and God has given it to you to bear ^(B)the guilt of the congregation, to make atonement for them before the Lord?

^24 (A)who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, ^(B)that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—^(C)by whose ^[a]stripes you were healed.

²⁸ so ^(A)Christ was ^(B)offered once to bear the sins ^(C)of many. To those who ^(D)eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation.

¹⁷ that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying:
