^2 (A)Lay siege against it, build a ^(B)siege wall against it, and heap up a mound against it; set camps against it also, and place battering rams against it all around.

²² In his right hand is the divination for Jerusalem: to set up battering rams, to call for a slaughter, to ^(A)lift the voice with shouting, ^(B)to set battering rams against the gates, to heap up a siege mound, and to build a wall.

⁶ For thus has the Lord of hosts said:

⁴² saying, “If you had known, even you, especially in this ^(A)your day, the things that ^(B)make for your ^(C)peace! But now they are hidden from your eyes. ⁴³ For days will come upon you when your enemies will ^(D)build an embankment around you, surround you and close you in on every side, ^44 (E)and level you, and your children within you, to the ground; and ^(F)they will not leave in you one stone upon another, ^(G)because you did not know the time of your visitation.”

⁴ Now it came to pass in the ^(A)ninth year of his reign, in the tenth month, on the tenth day of the month, that Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon and all his army came against Jerusalem and encamped against it; and they built a siege wall against it all around.

The Fall of Jerusalem^(A)

39 In the ^(B)ninth year of Zedekiah king of Judah, in the tenth month, Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon and all his army came against Jerusalem, and besieged it. ² In the ^(C)eleventh year of Zedekiah, in the fourth month, on the ninth day of the month, the ^[a]city was penetrated.
