It has awakened against you; see, it comes!
⁷ Your doom^[a] has come to you,
    O inhabitant of the land.
The time has come; the day is near—
    of tumult, not of reveling on the mountains.^(D)
8 Soon now I will pour out my wrath upon you;
    I will spend my anger against you.
I will judge you according to your ways

The rod has blossomed; pride has budded.

    now I will be exalted.
¹¹ You conceive chaff; you bring forth stubble;

¹² And the peoples will be as if burned to lime,
    like thorns cut down that are burned in the fire.”
