^13 (A)Sheba, ^(B)Dedan, the merchants ^(C)of Tarshish, and all ^(D)their young lions will say to you, ‘Have you come to take plunder? Have you gathered your army to take booty, to carry away silver and gold, to take away livestock and goods, to take great plunder?’ ” ’

¹⁵ The men of ^(A)Dedan were your traders; many isles were the market of your hand. They brought you ivory tusks and ebony as payment.

² “Son of man, ^(A)take up a lamentation for Pharaoh king of Egypt, and say to him:

²² The merchants of ^(A)Sheba and Raamah were your merchants. They traded for your wares the choicest spices, all kinds of precious stones, and gold. ^23 (B)Haran, Canneh, Eden, the merchants of ^(C)Sheba, Assyria, and Chilmad were your merchants.

^20 (A)Dedan was your merchant in saddlecloths for riding.

^12 (A)“Tarshish was your merchant because of your many luxury goods. They gave you silver, iron, tin, and lead for your goods.

¹³ “Behold, ^(C)I am against you,” says the Lord of hosts, “I will burn ^[c]your chariots in smoke, and the sword shall devour your young lions; I will cut off your prey from the earth, and the voice of your ^(D)messengers shall be heard no more.”
