21 “Then say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “Surely (A)I will take the children of Israel from among the nations, wherever they have gone, and will gather them from every side and bring them into their own land; 22 and (B)I will make them one nation in the land, on the mountains of Israel; and (C)one king shall be king over them all; they shall no longer be two nations, nor shall they ever be divided into two kingdoms again. 23 (D)They shall not defile themselves anymore with their idols, nor with their detestable things, nor with any of their transgressions; but (E)I will deliver them from all their dwelling places in which they have sinned, and will cleanse them. Then they shall be My people, and I will be their God.

24 (F)“David My servant shall be king over them, and (G)they shall all have one shepherd; (H)they shall also walk in My judgments and observe My statutes, and do them. 25 (I)Then they shall dwell in the land that I have given to Jacob My servant, where your fathers dwelt; and they shall dwell there, they, their children, and their children’s children, (J)forever; and (K)My servant David shall be their prince forever. 26 Moreover I will [a]make (L)a covenant of peace with them, and it shall be an everlasting covenant with them; I will establish them and (M)multiply them, and I will set My (N)sanctuary in their midst forevermore. 27 (O)My tabernacle also shall be with them; indeed I will be (P)their God, and they shall be My people. 28 (Q)The nations also will know that I, the Lord, (R)sanctify Israel, when My sanctuary is in their midst forevermore.” ’ ”

Gog and Allies Attack Israel

38 Now the word of the Lord came to me, saying, (S)“Son of man, (T)set your face against (U)Gog, of the land of (V)Magog, [b]the prince of Rosh, (W)Meshech, and Tubal, and prophesy against him, and say, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “Behold, I am against you, O Gog, the prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal. (X)I will turn you around, put hooks into your jaws, and (Y)lead you out, with all your army, horses, and horsemen, (Z)all splendidly clothed, a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords. Persia, [c]Ethiopia, and [d]Libya are with them, all of them with shield and helmet; (AA)Gomer and all its troops; the house of (AB)Togarmah from the far north and all its troops—many people are with you.

(AC)“Prepare yourself and be ready, you and all your companies that are gathered about you; and be a guard for them. (AD)After many days (AE)you will be visited. In the latter years you will come into the land of those brought back from the sword (AF)and gathered from many people on (AG)the mountains of Israel, which had long been desolate; they were brought out of the nations, and now all of them (AH)dwell safely. You will ascend, coming (AI)like a storm, covering the (AJ)land like a cloud, you and all your troops and many peoples with you.”

10 ‘Thus says the Lord God: “On that day it shall come to pass that thoughts will arise in your mind, and you will make an evil plan: 11 You will say, ‘I will go up against a land of (AK)unwalled villages; I will (AL)go to a peaceful people, (AM)who dwell [e]safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates’— 12 to take plunder and to take booty, to stretch out your hand against the waste places that are again inhabited, (AN)and against a people gathered from the nations, who have acquired livestock and goods, who dwell in the midst of the land.
