¹⁴ I will put my spirit within you, and you shall live, and I will place you on your own soil; then you shall know that I, the Lord, have spoken and will act, says the Lord.”^(A)

God’s Spirit Poured Out

²⁷ I will put my spirit within you and make you follow my statutes and be careful to observe my ordinances.^(A)

²⁹ and I will never again hide my face from them, when I pour out my spirit upon the house of Israel, says the Lord God.^(A)

³⁶ Then the nations that are left all around you shall know that I, the Lord, have rebuilt the ruined places and replanted that which was desolate; I, the Lord, have spoken, and I will do it.^(A)

¹⁹ I will give them one heart and put a new spirit within them;^[a] I will remove the heart of stone from their flesh and give them a heart of flesh,^(A)

⁴⁵ Thus it is written, “The first man, Adam, became a living being”; the last Adam became a life-giving spirit.^(A)

⁹ Then he said to me, “Prophesy to the breath, prophesy, mortal, and say to the breath:^[a] Thus says the Lord God: Come from the four winds, O breath,^[b] and breathe upon these slain, that they may live.”^(A)
