⁷ Your people will fall slain^(A) among you, and you will know that I am the Lord.^(B)

⁵ And the Egyptians will know that I am the Lord^(A) when I stretch out my hand^(B) against Egypt and bring the Israelites out of it.”

¹⁸ The Egyptians will know that I am the Lord^(A) when I gain glory through Pharaoh, his chariots and his horsemen.”

⁴ And I will harden Pharaoh’s heart,^(A) and he will pursue them.^(B) But I will gain glory^(C) for myself through Pharaoh and all his army, and the Egyptians will know that I am the Lord.”^(D) So the Israelites did this.

²⁶ I will disperse the Egyptians among the nations and scatter them through the countries. Then they will know that I am the Lord.^(A)”

¹⁹ Therefore this is what the Sovereign Lord says: I am going to give Egypt to Nebuchadnezzar king^(A) of Babylon, and he will carry off its wealth. He will loot and plunder^(B) the land as pay for his army.^{(C) 20} I have given him Egypt^(D) as a reward for his efforts because he and his army did it for me, declares the Sovereign Lord.^(E)

¹² I will make the land of Egypt desolate^(A) among devastated lands, and her cities will lie desolate forty years among ruined cities. And I will disperse the Egyptians among the nations and scatter them through the countries.^(B)
