^11 (A)‘For thus says the Lord God: “The sword of the king of Babylon shall come upon you.

²² Therefore thus says the Lord God: ‘Surely I am ^(A)against Pharaoh king of Egypt, and will ^(B)break his arms, both the strong one and the one that was broken; and I will make the sword fall out of his hand. ^23 (C)I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations, and disperse them throughout the countries. ²⁴ I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon and put My sword in his hand; but I will break Pharaoh’s arms, and he will groan before him with the groanings of a mortally wounded man. ²⁵ Thus I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon, but the arms of Pharaoh shall fall down; ^(D)they shall know that I am the Lord, when I put My sword into the hand of the king of Babylon and he stretches it out against the land of Egypt.

⁷ “For thus says the Lord God: ‘Behold, I will bring against Tyre from the north ^(A)Nebuchadnezzar^[a] king of Babylon, ^(B)king of kings, with horses, with chariots, and with horsemen, and an army with many people.

²⁵ The Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, says: “Behold, I will bring punishment on ^[a]Amon of ^(B)No,^[b] and Pharaoh and Egypt, ^(C)with their gods and their kings—Pharaoh and those who ^(D)trust in him. ^26 (E)And I will deliver them into the hand of those who seek their lives, into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon and the hand of his servants. ^(F)Afterward it shall be inhabited as in the days of old,” says the Lord.

Babylonia Will Strike Egypt

¹³ The word that the Lord spoke to Jeremiah the prophet, how Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon would come and ^(A)strike the land of Egypt.

¹⁰ and say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: “Behold, I will send and bring Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, ^(A)My servant, and will set his throne above these stones that I have hidden. And he will spread his royal pavilion over them.
