¹¹ “For thus says the Lord God: ^(A)The sword of the king of Babylon shall come upon you.

²² Therefore thus says the Lord God: Behold, I am against Pharaoh king of Egypt and ^(A)will break his arms, both the strong arm and the one that was broken, and I will make the sword fall from his hand. ^23 (B)I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations and disperse them through the countries. ²⁴ And ^(C)I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon and put ^(D)my sword in his hand, but I will break the arms of Pharaoh, and he will groan before him ^(E)like a man mortally wounded. ²⁵ I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon, but the arms of Pharaoh shall fall. ^(F)Then they shall know that I am the Lord, ^(G)when I put my sword into the hand of the king of Babylon and he stretches it out against the land of Egypt.

⁷ “For thus says the Lord God: ^(A)Behold, I will bring against Tyre ^(B)from the north Nebuchadnezzar^[a] king of Babylon, ^(C)king of kings, with horses and chariots, and with horsemen and a host of many soldiers.

²⁵ The Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, said: “Behold, I am bringing punishment upon ^(B)Amon of ^(C)Thebes, and Pharaoh and Egypt ^(D)and her gods and her kings, upon Pharaoh and those who trust in him. ^26 (E)I will deliver them into the hand of those who seek their life, into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon and his officers. ^(F)Afterward Egypt shall be inhabited ^(G)as in the days of old, declares the Lord.

¹³ The word that the Lord spoke to Jeremiah the prophet about the coming of ^(A)Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon to strike the land of Egypt:

¹⁰ and say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: Behold, I will send and take Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, ^(A)my servant, ^(B)and I will set his throne above these stones that I have hidden, and he will spread his royal canopy over them.
