^18 (A)‘To which of the trees in Eden will you then be likened in glory and greatness? Yet you shall be brought down with the trees of Eden to the depths of the earth; ^(B)you shall lie in the midst of the uncircumcised, with those slain by the sword. This is Pharaoh and all his multitude,’ says the Lord God.”

¹⁹ When anyone hears the word ^(A)of the kingdom, and does not understand it, then the wicked one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. This is he who received seed by the wayside.

¹⁶ I made the nations ^(A)shake at the sound of its fall, when I ^(B)cast it down to ^[a]hell together with those who descend into the Pit; and ^(C)all the trees of Eden, the choice and best of Lebanon, all that drink water, ^(D)were comforted in the depths of the earth.

² “Son of man, say to Pharaoh king of Egypt and to his multitude:

²⁵ “Behold, the days are coming,” says the Lord, “that ^(A)I will punish all who are circumcised with the uncircumcised— ²⁶ Egypt, Judah, Edom, the people of Ammon, Moab, and all who are in the ^(B)farthest corners, who dwell in the wilderness. For all these nations are uncircumcised, and all the house of Israel are ^(C)uncircumcised in the heart.”
