²⁵ And you, O son of man, surely ^(A)they will put ropes on you and bind you with them, so that you cannot go out among them.

^8 (A)And surely I will ^[a]restrain you so that you cannot turn from one side to another till you have ended the days of your siege.

¹¹ When he had come to us, he took Paul’s belt, bound his own hands and feet, and said, “Thus says the Holy Spirit, ^(A)‘So shall the Jews at Jerusalem bind the man who owns this belt, and deliver him into the hands of the Gentiles.’ ”

¹² Now when we heard these things, both we and those from that place pleaded with him not to go up to Jerusalem. ¹³ Then Paul answered, ^(B)“What do you mean by weeping and breaking my heart? For I am ready not only to be bound, but also to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.”

²³ except that ^(A)the Holy Spirit testifies in every city, saying that chains and tribulations await me.

¹⁶ For ^(A)I will show him how many things he must suffer for My ^(B)name’s sake.”

^18 (A)Most assuredly, I say to you, when you were younger, you girded yourself and walked where you wished; but when you are old, you will stretch out your hands, and another will gird you and carry you where you do not wish.”

²¹ But when His ^(A)own people heard about this, they went out to lay hold of Him, ^(B)for they said, “He is out of His mind.”
