^29 (A)They will deal hatefully with you, take away all you have worked for, and ^(B)leave you naked and bare. The nakedness of your harlotry shall be uncovered, both your lewdness and your harlotry.

⁴⁵ But righteous men will ^(A)judge them after the manner of adulteresses, and after the manner of women who shed blood, because they are adulteresses, and ^(B)blood is on their hands.

⁴⁶ “For thus says the Lord God: ^(C)‘Bring up an assembly against them, give them up to trouble and plunder. ^47 (D)The assembly shall stone them with stones and ^[a]execute them with their swords; ^(E)they shall slay their sons and their daughters, and burn their houses with fire.

³⁹ I will also give you into their hand, and they shall throw down your shrines and break down ^(A)your ^[a]high places. ^(B)They shall also strip you of your clothes, take your beautiful jewelry, and leave you naked and bare.

³⁶ Thus says the Lord God: “Because your filthiness was poured out and your nakedness uncovered in your harlotry with your lovers, and with all your abominable idols, and because of ^(A)the blood of your children which you gave to them, ³⁷ surely, therefore, ^(B)I will gather all your lovers with whom you took pleasure, all those you loved, and all those you hated; I will gather them from all around against you and will uncover your nakedness to them, that they may see all your nakedness.

¹⁵ Then Amnon hated her ^[a]exceedingly, so that the hatred with which he hated her was greater than the love with which he had loved her. And Amnon said to her, “Arise, be gone!”

^47 (A)“Because you did not serve the Lord your God with joy and gladness of heart, ^(B)for the abundance of everything, ⁴⁸ therefore you shall serve your enemies, whom the Lord will send against you, in ^(C)hunger, in thirst, in nakedness, and in need of everything; and He ^(D)will put a yoke of iron on your neck until He has destroyed you. ^49 (E)The Lord will bring a nation against you from afar, from the end of the earth, ^(F)as swift as the eagle flies, a nation whose language you will not understand, ⁵⁰ a nation of fierce countenance, ^(G)which does not respect the elderly nor show favor to the young. ⁵¹ And they shall eat the increase of your livestock and the produce of your land, until you are destroyed; they shall not leave you grain or new wine or oil, or the increase of your cattle or the offspring of your flocks, until they have destroyed you.
