²² As silver is melted^(A) in a furnace, so you will be melted inside her, and you will know that I the Lord have poured out my wrath^(B) on you.’”^(C)

³³ As surely as I live, declares the Sovereign Lord, I will reign over you with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm^(A) and with outpoured wrath.^(B)

⁸ “‘But they rebelled against me and would not listen to me;^(A) they did not get rid of the vile images they had set their eyes on, nor did they forsake the idols of Egypt.^(B) So I said I would pour out my wrath on them and spend my anger against them in Egypt.^(C)

The Seven Bowls of God’s Wrath

16 Then I heard a loud voice from the temple^(A) saying to the seven angels,^(B) “Go, pour out the seven bowls of God’s wrath on the earth.”^(C)

³¹ So I will pour out my wrath on them and consume them with my fiery anger,^(A) bringing down^(B) on their own heads all they have done, declares the Sovereign Lord.^(C)”

¹⁶ When you have been defiled^[a] in the eyes of the nations, you will know that I am the Lord.’”
