³³ As surely as I live, declares the Sovereign Lord, I will reign over you with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm^(A) and with outpoured wrath.^(B)

⁵ I myself will fight^(A) against you with an outstretched hand^(B) and a mighty arm^(C) in furious anger and in great wrath.

¹⁸ Therefore I will deal with them in anger;^(A) I will not look on them with pity^(B) or spare them. Although they shout in my ears, I will not listen^(C) to them.”

⁶ Therefore, my fierce anger was poured out;^(A) it raged against the towns of Judah and the streets of Jerusalem and made them the desolate ruins^(B) they are today.

¹⁸ This is what the Lord Almighty, the God of Israel, says: ‘As my anger and wrath^(A) have been poured out on those who lived in Jerusalem,^(B) so will my wrath be poured out on you when you go to Egypt. You will be a curse^[a](C) and an object of horror,^(D) a curse^[b] and an object of reproach;^(E) you will never see this place again.’^(F)
