²² “Return,^(A) faithless people;
    I will cure^(B) you of backsliding.”^(C)

“Yes, we will come to you,
    for you are the Lord our God.
²³ Surely the idolatrous commotion on the hills^(D)
    and mountains is a deception;
surely in the Lord our God
    is the salvation^(E) of Israel.

⁴⁵ that they might keep his precepts
    and observe his laws.^(A)

    you shall not worship any god other than me.
¹⁰ I am the Lord your God,
    who brought you up out of Egypt.^(B)
Open^(C) wide your mouth and I will fill^(D) it.

⁷ The law of the Lord^(A) is perfect,^(B)
    refreshing the soul.^(C)
The statutes of the Lord are trustworthy,^(D)
    making wise the simple.^(E)
8 The precepts of the Lord are right,^(F)
    giving joy^(G) to the heart.
The commands of the Lord are radiant,
    giving light to the eyes.^(H)
9 The fear of the Lord^(I) is pure,
    enduring forever.
The decrees of the Lord are firm,
    and all of them are righteous.^(J)

¹⁰ They are more precious than gold,^(K)
    than much pure gold;
they are sweeter than honey,^(L)
    than honey from the honeycomb.^(M)
11 By them your servant is warned;
    in keeping them there is great reward.
