⁵ And ^(A)whether they hear or refuse to hear (for they are ^(B)a rebellious house) ^(C)they will know that a prophet has been among them.

^33 (A)When this comes—and come it will!—^(B)then they will know that a prophet has been among them.”

^27 (A)But when I speak with you, I will open your mouth, and you shall say to them, ^(B)‘Thus says the Lord God.’ ^(C)He who will hear, let him hear; and he who will refuse to hear, let him refuse, for they are a rebellious house.

²² If I had not come and spoken to them, ^(A)they would not have been guilty of sin,^[a] but now they have no excuse for their sin.

¹² As you enter the house, ^(A)greet it. ¹³ And if the house is ^(B)worthy, let ^(C)your peace come upon it, but if it is not worthy, let ^(D)your peace return to you. ¹⁴ And if anyone will not receive you or listen to your words, ^(E)shake off the dust from your feet when you leave that house or town. ¹⁵ Truly, I say to you, ^(F)it will be more bearable on the day of judgment for ^(G)the land of Sodom and Gomorrah than for that town.

⁴⁶ And Paul and Barnabas spoke out boldly, saying, “It was necessary that the word of God ^(A)be spoken first to you. ^(B)Since you thrust it aside and judge yourselves ^(C)unworthy of eternal life, behold, we ^(D)are turning to the Gentiles.

¹⁰ But whenever you enter a town and they do not receive you, go into its streets and say, ^11 (A)‘Even the dust of your town that clings to our feet we wipe off against you. Nevertheless know this, that ^(B)the kingdom of God has come near.’ ¹² I tell you, ^(C)it will be more bearable on ^(D)that day for Sodom than for that town.

⁷ And you shall speak my words to them, ^(A)whether they hear or refuse to hear, for they are a rebellious house.

¹⁵ For we are the aroma of Christ to God among ^(A)those who are being saved and among ^(B)those who are perishing, ^16 (C)to one a fragrance from death to death, ^(D)to the other a fragrance from life to life. ^(E)Who is sufficient for these things? ¹⁷ For we are not, like so many, peddlers of God's word, but as men of sincerity, as commissioned by God, in the sight of God we speak in Christ.
