²⁷ Again, when the wicked turn away from the wickedness they have committed and do what is lawful and right, they shall save their life.

²¹ But if the wicked turn away from all their sins that they have committed and keep all my statutes and do what is lawful and right, they shall surely live; they shall not die.^(A)

¹⁹ Repent, therefore, and turn to God so that your sins may be wiped out,

¹³ Go and learn what this means, ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice.’ For I have not come to call the righteous but sinners.”^(A)

¹⁶ Pay close attention to yourself and to your teaching; continue in these things, for in doing this you will save both yourself and your hearers.^(A)

²⁰ but declared first to those in Damascus, then in Jerusalem and throughout the countryside of Judea, and also to the gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God and do deeds consistent with repentance.^(A)

²¹ as I testified to both Jews and Greeks about repentance toward God and faith toward our Lord Jesus.^[a](A)

⁴⁰ And he testified with many other arguments and exhorted them, saying, “Save yourselves from this corrupt generation.”
