Will such a man live? He will not! Because he has done all these detestable things, he is to be put to death; his blood will be on his own head.^(B)

¹⁸ When I say to a wicked person, ‘You will surely die,^(A)’ and you do not warn them or speak out to dissuade them from their evil ways in order to save their life, that wicked person will die for^[a] their sin, and I will hold you accountable for their blood.^(B)

⁹ “‘Anyone who curses their father^(A) or mother^(B) is to be put to death.^(C) Because they have cursed their father or mother, their blood will be on their own head.^(D)

²⁵ “If you lend money to one of my people among you who is needy, do not treat it like a business deal; charge no interest.^(A)

⁶ But when they opposed Paul and became abusive,^(A) he shook out his clothes in protest^(B) and said to them, “Your blood be on your own heads!^(C) I am innocent of it.^(D) From now on I will go to the Gentiles.”^(E)

⁴ then if anyone hears the trumpet but does not heed the warning^(A) and the sword comes and takes their life, their blood will be on their own head.^{(B) 5} Since they heard the sound of the trumpet but did not heed the warning, their blood will be on their own head.^(C) If they had heeded the warning, they would have saved themselves.^(D)

³² For I take no pleasure in the death of anyone, declares the Sovereign Lord. Repent^(A) and live!^(B)

²⁸ Because they consider all the offenses they have committed and turn away from them, that person will surely live; they will not die.^(A)
