¹⁹ Therefore thus says the Lord God: As I live, surely it is my oath that he despised, and my covenant that he broke. I will return it upon his head.

¹¹ “‘You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes his name in vain.

²³ But to them it will seem like a false divination. ^(A)They have sworn solemn oaths, but he brings their guilt to remembrance, ^(B)that they may be taken.

²⁴ “Therefore thus says the Lord God: Because you have made your guilt to be remembered, in that your transgressions are uncovered, so that in all your deeds your sins appear—because you have come to remembrance, ^(C)you shall be taken in hand. ²⁵ And you, O profane^{[a] (D)}wicked one, prince of Israel, ^(E)whose day has come, ^(F)the time of your final punishment, ²⁶ thus says the Lord God: Remove the turban and take off the crown. Things shall not remain as they are. ^(G)Exalt that which is low, and bring low that which is exalted. ²⁷ A ruin, ruin, ruin I will make it. ^(H)This also shall not be, ^(I)until he comes, the one to whom judgment belongs, and I will give it to him.

^9 (A)Will you steal, murder, commit adultery, ^(B)swear falsely, ^(C)make offerings to Baal, ^(D)and go after other gods that you have not known, ¹⁰ and then come and stand before me in this house, ^(E)which is called by my name, and say, ‘We are delivered!’—only to go on doing all these abominations? ^11 (F)Has this house, ^(G)which is called by my name, ^(H)become a den of robbers in your eyes? Behold, I myself have seen it, declares the Lord. ¹² Go now to ^(I)my place that was in Shiloh, ^(J)where I made my name dwell at first, and ^(K)see what I did to it because of the evil of my people Israel. ¹³ And now, because you have done all these things, declares the Lord, and ^(L)when I spoke to you persistently you did not listen, and ^(M)when I called you, you did not answer, ¹⁴ therefore I will do to ^(N)the house ^(O)that is called by my name, and in which you trust, and to the place that I gave to you and to your fathers, ^(P)as I did to Shiloh. ^15 (Q)And I will cast you out of my sight, ^(R)as I cast out all your kinsmen, all the offspring of ^(S)Ephraim.
