^53 (A)“I will restore their fortunes, both the fortunes of Sodom and her daughters, and the fortunes of Samaria and her daughters, and I will restore your own fortunes in their midst,

The Lord Will Restore Israel

²⁵ “Therefore thus says the Lord God: Now ^(A)I will restore the fortunes of Jacob and have mercy on ^(B)the whole house of Israel, and ^(C)I will be jealous for my holy name.

¹⁴ and ^(A)I will restore the fortunes of Egypt and bring them back to ^(B)the land of Pathros, the land of their origin, and there they shall be a lowly kingdom.

²⁴ In that day Israel will be the third with Egypt and Assyria, ^(A)a blessing in the midst of the earth, ²⁵ whom the Lord of hosts has blessed, saying, “Blessed be Egypt ^(B)my people, and Assyria ^(C)the work of my hands, and ^(D)Israel my inheritance.”

²³ And ^(A)even they, if they do not continue in their unbelief, will be grafted in, for God has the power to graft them in again. ²⁴ For if you were cut from what is by nature a wild olive tree, and grafted, contrary to nature, into a cultivated olive tree, how much more will these, the natural branches, be grafted back into their own olive tree.

The Mystery of Israel's Salvation

^25 (B)Lest you be wise in your own sight, I do not want you to be unaware of this mystery, brothers:^{[a] (C)}a partial hardening has come upon Israel, ^(D)until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in. ²⁶ And in this way all Israel will be saved, as it is written,

²⁸ As regards the gospel, they are enemies for your sake. But as regards election, they are ^(I)beloved for the sake of their forefathers. ²⁹ For the gifts and ^(J)the calling of God are irrevocable. ³⁰ For just as ^(K)you were at one time disobedient to God but now have received mercy because of their disobedience, ³¹ so they too have now been disobedient in order that by the mercy shown to you they also may now^[b] receive mercy.

The Lord Judges the Nations

3 ^[a] “For behold, ^(A)in those days and at that time, when I restore the fortunes of Judah and Jerusalem,

⁶⁰ yet ^(A)I will remember my covenant with you ^(B)in the days of your youth, ^(C)and I will establish for you an everlasting covenant. ^61 (D)Then you will remember your ways ^(E)and be ashamed when you take ^(F)your sisters, both your elder and your younger, and I give them to you ^(G)as daughters, but not on account of^[a] the covenant with you.

³⁹ “But in the latter days ^(A)I will restore the fortunes of ^(B)Elam, declares the Lord.”

⁶ “But ^(A)afterward I will restore the fortunes of the Ammonites, declares the Lord.”
