¹¹ that the house of Israel may no more go astray from me, nor ^(A)defile themselves anymore with all their transgressions, ^(B)but that they may be my people and I may be their God, declares the Lord God.”

^23 (A)They shall not ^(B)defile themselves anymore ^(C)with their idols and their detestable things, or with any of their transgressions. But ^(D)I will save them from all the backslidings^[a] in which they have sinned, and will cleanse them; and ^(E)they shall be my people, and I will be their God.

¹¹ This shall be for ^(A)the consecrated priests, ^(B)the sons of Zadok, who kept my charge, who did not go astray when the people of Israel went astray, ^(C)as the Levites did.

¹⁰ But ^(A)the Levites who went far from me, going astray from me after their idols ^(B)when Israel went astray, ^(C)shall bear their punishment.^[a]

^7 (A)The one who conquers will have this heritage, and ^(B)I will be his God and ^(C)he will be my son.

¹⁶ But as it is, they desire a better country, that is, a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed ^(A)to be called their God, for ^(B)he has prepared for them a city.

Rules for Levitical Priests

¹⁵ “But ^(A)the Levitical priests, ^(B)the sons of Zadok, who kept ^(C)the charge of my sanctuary ^(D)when the people of Israel went astray from me, shall come near to me ^(E)to minister to me. And they shall stand before me to offer me ^(F)the fat and the blood, declares the Lord God.

^22 (A)The house of Israel shall know that I am the Lord their God, from that day forward.

¹⁸ And when they come there, ^(A)they will remove from it all its ^(B)detestable things and all its abominations. ^19 (C)And I will give them one heart, and ^(D)a new spirit I will put within them. ^(E)I will remove the heart of stone from their flesh ^(F)and give them a heart of flesh, ^20 (G)that they may walk in my statutes and keep my rules and obey them. ^(H)And they shall be my people, and I will be their God.
