^12 (A)And the prince who is among them shall lift his baggage upon his shoulder at dusk, and shall go out. ^(B)They shall dig through the wall to bring him out through it. ^(C)He shall cover his face, that he may not see the land with his eyes.

⁴ When Zedekiah king of Judah and all the soldiers saw them, they fled, going out of the city at night by way of the king's garden through the gate between the two walls; and they went toward ^(A)the Arabah.

⁴ Then a breach was made in the city, and all the men of war fled by night by the way of the gate between the two walls, by ^(A)the king's garden, and ^(B)the Chaldeans were around the city. And they went in the direction of the ^(C)Arabah.

⁶ In their sight you shall lift the baggage upon your shoulder and carry it out at dusk. You shall cover your face that you may not see the land, for I have made you ^(A)a sign for the house of Israel.”
