¹¹ Say, ^(A)‘I am a sign to you. As I have done, so shall it be done to them; ^(B)they shall be carried away into captivity.’

^15 (A)Then Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard carried away captive some of the poor people, the rest of the people who remained in the city, the defectors who had deserted to the king of Babylon, and the rest of the craftsmen.

² And it shall be, if they say to you, ‘Where should we go?’ then you shall tell them, ‘Thus says the Lord:

^28 (A)These are the people whom Nebuchadnezzar carried away captive: ^(B)in the seventh year, ^(C)three thousand and twenty-three Jews; ^29 (D)in the eighteenth year of Nebuchadnezzar he carried away captive from Jerusalem eight hundred and thirty-two persons; ³⁰ in the twenty-third year of Nebuchadnezzar, Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard carried away captive of the Jews seven hundred and forty-five persons. All the persons were four thousand six hundred.

⁶ In their sight you shall bear them on your shoulders and carry them out at twilight; you shall cover your face, so that you cannot see the ground, ^(A)for I have made you a sign to the house of Israel.”
