⁴ Then I looked, and behold, ^(A)a whirlwind was coming ^(B)out of the north, a great cloud with raging fire engulfing itself; and brightness was all around it and radiating out of its midst like the color of amber, out of the midst of the fire.

^2 (A)Then I looked, and there was a likeness, like the appearance of fire—from the appearance of His waist and downward, fire; and from His waist and upward, like the appearance of brightness, ^(B)like the color of amber.

²⁷ Also from the appearance of His waist and upward ^(A)I saw, as it were, the color of amber with the appearance of fire all around within it; and from the appearance of His waist and downward I saw, as it were, the appearance of fire with brightness all around.

³² Thus says the Lord of hosts:

¹³ And the word of the Lord came to me the second time, saying, “What do you see?”

And I said, “I see ^(A)a boiling pot, and it is facing away from the north.”

21 The ^[a]burden against the Wilderness of the Sea.

¹⁶ Then it came to pass on the third day, in the morning, that there were ^(A)thunderings and lightnings, and a thick cloud on the mountain; and the sound of the trumpet was very loud, so that all the people who were in the camp ^(B)trembled. ¹⁷ And ^(C)Moses brought the people out of the camp to meet with God, and they stood at the foot of the mountain. ¹⁸ Now ^(D)Mount Sinai was completely in smoke, because the Lord descended upon ^(E)it in fire. ^(F)Its smoke ascended like the smoke of a furnace, and ^[a]the ^(G)whole mountain quaked greatly.
