²⁴ When they moved, I heard the sound of their wings like the sound of mighty waters, like the thunder of the Almighty,^[a] a sound of tumult like the sound of an army; when they stopped, they let down their wings.^(A)

² And there the glory of the God of Israel was coming from the east; the sound was like the sound of mighty waters, and the earth shone with his glory.^(A)

¹⁵ his feet were like burnished bronze, refined as in a furnace, and his voice was like the sound of many waters.^(A)

⁶ His body was like beryl, his face like lightning, his eyes like flaming torches, his arms and legs like the gleam of burnished bronze, and the sound of his words like the roar of a multitude.^(A)

⁶ Then I heard what seemed to be the voice of a great multitude, like the sound of many waters and like the sound of mighty thunderpeals, crying out,

⁵ The sound of the wings of the cherubim was heard as far as the outer court, like the voice of God Almighty^[a] when he speaks.^(A)

⁶ For the Lord had caused the Aramean army to hear the sound of chariots and of horses, the sound of a great army, so that they said to one another, “The king of Israel has hired the kings of the Hittites and the kings of Egypt to fight against us.”^(A)
